He didn't finally finish the work until almost two months later. Had I told him that he would not be paid until the job was completed (I foolishly fronted him half his fee) and that if he didn't hit deadline without good reason he'd not receive full payment, I would have frightened him off before he began and ended up using someone who would do the job I needed doing.
