Three years butlins caravan sales office Had I been accused of indifference to children I would have mounted a heated defence, pointing out that I often bought gifts for the children of friends, and once took a friend’s kids to the movies. I liked children – I was so benevolent to kids, I flattered myself, I even wanted my own… some day. But none of this means that I was actually thinking of children. My mind skated over the surface of children, and easily left them behind.
